I am Alice Saey, a graphic artist and animation director. I draw with Indian ink, often in Paris, mostly in Rotterdam. My work focusses on poetic and graphic forms of narration, in the fields of design and film.

Since I graduated from a graphic design Masters in HEAR (Strasbourg, FR), I animated naked ladies, dancing geese and singing volcanos in music videos She’s Young (Shaking Godspeed), Happy (Mark Lotterman) and Careful (Jo Goes Hunting), amongst other original work for various clients including Arte, Centre Pompidou, Socialter.

Recently, I completed my animated short film Flatastic, written by Léa Perret and produced by Miyu, Keplerfilm and Spotted Bird, set to have its world première at IFFR Festival Rotterdam in the Tiger Short Competition. I will also be drawing murals for the new metro station La Courneuve - Six Routes, which will be inaugurated in 2026, as a part of the Grand Paris Express project.

In the summer of 2023, I co-founded animation collective TINSEL with my studio mates Wiep Teeuwisse and Nienke Deutz. More info coming soon...
