First 3x1m mural of an upcoming series of 6 for the new subway station “La Courneuve - Six Routes”, which will be inaugurated in 2026, as part of the Grand Paris Express.
In the context of the new subway lines 16 & 17, I was chosen to decorate the tracks of this station in the suburbs of Paris. The murals are meant to both represent the population and culture of the city and attract new visitors.
I chose fabric as a staging subject, to celebrate the attachment of La Courneuve residents to their city through shared, original patterns, while evoking the richness of the different cultures present.
On show at La Cité de l’Architecture in Paris until June 2024 as a part of the exhibition “Le Grand Paris en mouvement!”
